
Who is a Wildflower?
Wildflowers are Unique learners
These students may be gifted,
have individual talents and strengths,
or do best with creative outlets.

They may have above average knowledge
in areas of specific interests.
​
They may be critical and out of the box thinkers.
​
​ These learners often have strong cognitive abilities and use these strengths to compensate for their learning difficulties or disabilities. The result of this internal struggle can can be manifested in many ways and is often not correlated to missing educational and social emotional supports.

Our learners may come to Wildflower
for different reasons:

Experiencing school or social anxiety.

Masking and struggling to get through a day at school. They may melt down when they get home instead.

Increased sensitivities to sensory input leading to emotional shut down.

Lack initiative or stamina to complete assignments.

Low self esteem due to perfectionism or feeling different than peers.

Lack of motivation due to boredom or lack of interest.
