Meet our Founder
Tiffany Dow RN, BSN
Tiffany Dow is the Founder and Head of School at Wildflower Academy. Tiffany is a graduate of Northeastern University Bouve College of Nursing. She has worked as a Registered Nurse in various health care areas including Intensive Care, Onocolgy, and Surgical settings . Most extensively, Tiffany has worked in the field of Home Health Care. In her position as Director of Medicaid Waiver Services, she led a team of nurses, social workers, and home care aides - assisting eldery and disabled patients gain access to and maintain necessary services in their homes - avoiding nursing home placements.

Tiffany's knack for education started in childhood. She enjoyed working with children, volunteering at the church nursery, and then becoming a caregiver in her teens. She studied Elementary Education for 2 years at Oregon State University before deciding to pursue a nursing career. Tiffany continued to use her love of teaching while in nursing school, tutoring her peers in their classes. Then, as a registered nurse, she mentored nursing students in their clinical rotations.

Tiffany's drive to open a school for unique leaners was forged by her experiences as a mother of two twice exceptional daughters. Navigating educational settings, IEP meetings, support services, comprehensive evaluations, and social emotional understanding grew into informed advocacy for this unique profile. The gap in educational setting for 2e learners is pronounced. Gifted programs may not provide enough support and special education programs may not be challenging.

"With Wildflower Academy, I look to bridge the educational gap and provide an alternative, just-right setting for our 2e kids. I am excited to see how we grow together!"
